Matt graduated the University of Minnesota Law School in 2014, earning the distinction of Magna Cum Laude. He began his legal career at Sieben Edmonds where he practiced criminal defense, personal injury, and estate planning.
He opened Little Law in 2015 to provide highly personalized legal services in his hometown of Lakeville.
In addition, he serves as of counsel at the law firm of Klemp & Stanton.
Matt was elected to the Lakeville City Council at the age of 25, and two years later was elected as the city's Mayor. He now serves Senate District 58 in the State Senate where he serves on three committees: Transportation, Jobs, and Veterans.
Matt grew up in Lakeville. He's married to Coco and they live in Lakeville with their three dogs named Bentley, Walter, and Phyllis. Matt is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Lakeville Lions. When he's not working or serving, he enjoys running, playing basketball, and fishing.
